Bio

In 2009, Jai stepped out of the comfort of being the Worship Pastor at her
father’s church and released her debut electrifying EP, FOCUS. Her sound
was unique, ethereal, whimsical, yet anointed. This quickly caught the ears
of other trailblazers of her time and in 2010 Jai was adjured by Reach
Records to co-write and record some of the labels chart topping songs, like
& "God is Enough"; by Lecrae featuring Jai and Flame, “The Invasion (Hero)”
by Trip Lee featuring Jai and Sho Baraka, as well as the philanthropic
anthem “Actions Speak Louder” by Swoope ft. Jai, Lecrae and Tedashii
where they donated all of the proceeds to build a fourth orphanage in
Southern Sudan, to name a few.
In 2011 Jai started her own record label Outlet Music Group and signed her
first distribution deal with Vicki Mack Lataillade and Central South/Infinity
Music. Her debut billboard charting album "Culture Shock"; received the
honor of being nominated for the Gospel Music Association (GMA) Hip Hop
Album of Year.
As a dynamic communicator, for the past 4 years, Jai was the witty, "tell it
like it is"; co-host on the Joyce Meyer “Talk It Out” podcast, which has reach
over 11 million impressions and is currently being televised in two thirds of
the world and translated in over 100 languages on Joyce Meyer
internationally syndicated television program "Enjoying Everyday Life".
As a songwriter and performer, Jai has shared the stage with, written for
and toured with the likes of Erica Campbell, Kirk Franklin, Israel Houghton,
Jonathan McReynolds, Amber Riley, Shirley Caesar, Raz B of B2K, Natalie
Grant and Devon Franklin, to name a few. She also made her acting debut
in the independent film, "Dreams", starring Terri J. Vaughn and Geoffrey
Owens, where she was the supporting actress.
A forever learner, Jai is an ordained pastor who has held the positions of
Executive Pastor, Creative Pastor and Global Worship Pastor at some of
America’s most notable and fastest growing churches. She holds degrees
in Media Communications, Marketing and Public Relations, Religion and is
now certified as a John Maxwell Leadership Coach and Speaker. With over
20 years of experience in music, ministry, marketing, speaking, creative
curation and coupled with the life experience of over 19 years of marriage,

parenting a 20 year old daughter and recently walking through divorce; she
aims to influence, inspire, and boldly change lives through her humor and
transparency.
